As the year draws to an end I realize just how much change there has been for me in my life. And for you too! I have felt very privileged coming here to Grace to be your pastor. I realize that I am a little different to other pastors you have had to lead you. I do hope that I have been an encouragement to you in some small way. I know that I have felt very encouraged by you and very welcomed too.
I really want to thank you all for the faithful service you have provided to this church over the past year and most particularly your service to our Lord! To keep a local church relevant and active in the community takes many servants. It has been pleasing to see so many of you taking turns on rosters to help make this church family a loving and caring family.
Next year we already have over 70 people committed to be involved in the life of this church that Jesus loves so much! He desires to use us to be a reflection of Him in this community here at Kogarah. If we are to shine His light then we will need all of us using the gifts, talents and skills that He has lovingly and wisely given us! It should be exciting allowing Him to work through us for His glory during 2014!
I would like to wish you all a very blessed and happy Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour Jesus! Let us look forward to the New Year with enthusiasm and excitement as we prepare our hearts to serve the One we love the most!
