What is our unity centred around? And what is our goal as a unified people? In the book of Ephesians, we see that Christ unites us as one new multiethnic family; and gives us gifts to build up the body so we can maintain and attain unity in the faith. In this sermon we explore what this looks like in Paul’s day and in our day as Christians in 2022.
Do you feel like God is absent from you? Are you feeling spiritually weary? We learn from the Bible that God has not abandoned us. We can find comfort and hope in His strength and kindness, and the promise that he will renew us and enable us to stand firm to the end.
God has enthroned His king to rule the world and it is Jesus. Yet humanity likes to do its own thing. We think we can be autonomous and rule ourselves, but God says that our plans will constantly be frustrated until we follow His way for us. Psalm 2 tells us more.
